This Life // San Diego Family Photographer // Erin Oveis Brant Photography

UPDATE: You can find me online at my new website: http://www.theleoloves.com/

As much as I’d like the world to believe I have it all together, I live an incredibly chaotic life most of the time. My children fight, personal projects are often left undone, and my home feels messy more often than not. But I can see the beauty in the everyday, these fleeting moments I’ll certainly miss in 5 or 10 years (maybe even 5 or 10 months), and I realize that it probably doesn’t look as bad from the outside as it sometimes feels from within. And so I do my best to appreciate and celebrate this life, with all of its quirks, challenges and sweet (and sometimes not so sweet) surprises. I take tons of photos so I’ll never forget…

While I believe many of my clients share my perspective on embracing and capturing this beautifully imperfect life, not many walk the talk: invite me to their homes, wear what they would wear on any other day, and show me exactly who they are…for better or worse. But that is exactly what Britta + Lance + Lukas + Lucy did. It was brave and beautiful and it allowed me the space to do what I love more than anything else…create honest and authentic photos of real life and real love. I can’t thank them enough for inviting me into their home and their lives and letting me do the work that floods my heart with so much joy. I am overwhelmed with gratitude. And I’m absolutely in love with the photos we created together…

no skateboard = sad lucy : (skateboard back? happy lucy! : )yes, this is their backyard…how incredibly cool is that?!we left their home to explore a nearby canyon

this life is so beautiful. and there is no better time to celebrate it than today…
