Dave + Carrie // Trash the Dress // San Diego Portrait Photographer

This session was a dream come true for me. Dave is the brother of one of my former brides (the fabulous Sara of Sara + Will fame), and when he contacted me with the idea to do a trash the dress session to celebrate his 5th wedding anniversary with his beautiful wife Carrie, I almost died with excitement. Dave is a total creative guru (the gorgeous ceremony backdrop from his sister’s wedding was his handiwork!) and he and Carrie are such sweet and genuine people. They already had several great ideas and wanted me to collaborate and help bring their vision to life. Would I be interested? Um, YES!!!!!

This was my first trash the dress session and I definitely wanted it to be more class, less trash (as in, “we’re doing a beautiful portrait session and oh by the way the dress just happens to get dirty”). I think we accomplished that goal and so much more!! Dave and Carrie were awesome to work with and I really hope they have me in mind for their 10th anniversary…I can only imagine what fabulous shoot they will dream up!
